Whats the highest point age/weight for baby swings? We bought a swing but no instructions...anyone know?

Ok if the nursery is done and we do some things more impecunious .. Mattresses especially .. chooses a stroller and the car has, and a "No collection boot-lick" for billets grandmother .. but my question is about baby swings? Are they practical? If I buy one, I am never successful in depriving it of the need or use? I reason with a purchase, but the hunger for it is folly to greenbacks .. caution please!
